Most reasonable ($), courteous, and thorough By pgraff99 I've used others and there's no comparison. At last I found a contractor in my area I can trust. Techs were knowledgeable, thorough, and interested in helping me -- without spending as much of my money as they could have. I'm a fairly technical person and could tell they were good at what they do. Pros: Fair rates, top notch service, Cons: Absolutelty none Posted 05/06/09
Awesome customer service, quick response time, and honest!!! By HEAT95 Went to search for a local AC company. After reading all the reviews there weren't too many that anyone had anything positive to say until I came across Tri-County. The only awkard thing about the review was the fact that when the person called they were able to get someone right out. Well sure enough I called in the afternoon and they had someone out by 5pm. Not only did they fix my thermostats but declined in doing a check up on my units due to the cold temp. They explained that with outside cold temps they would get false reading and would not be able to service my units properly. They recommend calling back when temps were in the 80's. AMAZING...our tech Andy could have easily gone outside done very little to nothing and charged us an additional fee per unit. He also took his time in explaining everything to me so i knew what was wrong and how he fixed it. Thanks Tri County you now have a loyal customer for life!!! Pros: Friendly and Professional during phone call with Outstanding service Posted 03/01/09
Awesome customer service By MarySueEllen We called for service with Tri-County and within the hour, someone showed up at our door. The service man was very curtious and friendly. He explained everything that was wrong with our air conditioning. I have 3 young kids that aren't in school yet, and was so glad they fixed as promptly as I had hoped them to. I would and am recommending Tri-County to everyone I know. Thank you for the GREAT service!! Pros: Customer service Posted 10/14/08

Re If you currently have an older air conditioning or heat pump system and experience a major system malfunction or failure, you will most likely have to make a decision of weather or not you want to repair the existing system or have it replaced with a newer high efficiency system. At times it's more advantageous to replace the entire system both (indoor and outdoor sections) rather than have it repaired. If your system is over 10 years of age, chances are that it not operating as efficiently as it was when it was new, also the seer rating is much lower than that of today's minimum seer rating of 13. If a system replacement is recommended, you should consider these important facts: The age of the system? What is the repair history of the system? Has the system been maintained properly? And over all, how does the equipment look to you? When looking at an outdoor section of an air conditioning or heat pump system, it should be looked at in the same manner as an automobile. If the exterior is rusted and deteriorating, chances are good that the internals such as the compressor, refrigeration coils and electrical components, are in the same condition. Freon leaks do develop with age and cause efficiency problems especially for heat pump owners. As the Freon leaks out and depletes from the system, the efficiency of the system is effected greatly, this will cause the system to operate inefficiently and cycle longer, using more electric to heat and cool your home or building. If the indoor or outdoor coils become porous and begin to leak freon, it is our recommendation that you should seriously consider replacing the entire sysyem. Although certain types of freon leaks can be repaired, most of the time a freon leak repair on a coil will only last for a short time. Normally, another leak will develop shortly after in another location on the same coil. Replacement advice may differ from company to company regarding this matter because of the cost factors involved. Some companies would rather perform the repair and not recommend replacement because of the related costs involved, even though it would be the right thing to do for the customer. However if you choose a repair, It's important for you to remember, that spending good money to repair an old inefficient failing system or piece of equipment, is a loosing proposition. If you are wlling to take a gamble on repairing an old aging system for a quick repair, be prepared to continue spending money to keep it operating. This advise should be seriously considered, especially when it comes to repairs on old inefficient systems. The initial system replacement upgrade cost may be a bit more compared to a quick fix, but manufacturer as well as utility and dealer rebates will offset the costs greatly, and the dollars you will save in energy savings will add up quickly. But most important is the comfort that you will experience from a new high efficiency system. Cost Is a factor in every improvement: It's been our experience that when a system replacement is recommended, most people tend to get taken aback due to the costs involved, some homeowners may be under the impression that the company may just be trying to sell a new system. It is our obligation to lead you in the best direction that we feel will benefit you in the long term. The ultimate decision is yours. But it's important to remember, that continued failure rates of older systems are extremely high, efficiency ratings are low, and although a quick repair may seem to be less out of pocket, repair costs on older systems do add up very quickly and can become costly as well. So if a system replacement is recommended, remember to take into consideration all of the above. Take a day to think about your decision. It will save you money and rid you of the repair, headaches and inefficiency of an old inefficient air conditioning or heating system. It's easy to be mislead into putting good money into a failing system. Most systems may be able to be temporarily repaired, but be prepared to reach into your wallet sooner than later because the repair is only temporary. Before making a decision you should consider all of your options, inquire about seer ratings, manufacturer and utility rebates as well as the contractor history. One hour of research can save you thousands of dollars in the years to come, most importantly aggravation. Remember to ask all the of the important questions, such as why repair instead of replace or vise versa, what type of warranties does the repair or replacement system come with? Is the system worth repairing? How does my indoor blower section section look inside, is the drain pan rusting or leaking? Most of all, How efficient is my current system verses a new system? How much will I save if I upgrade? Fact: Most people forget how old their systems really are. Time does go by fast. If you need assistance finding out how old your system is please do not hesitate to call our office with the model and serial numbers, so we can cross reference them for you. The advice is free and we would be pleased to help you.. No Obligation. place with lead in paragraph. Include key phrase.
